Chalet Spa Bali has an abundance of special features and has been designed with luxury living in mind.

The Original Concept

Bali is home to many cultures. The southernmost tip of Bali was an ancient teak forest, cleared by the Japanese in the 1940’s. Chalet Spa Bali is an exceptionally well designed cliff top estate located in Uluwatu on this Southern tip of Bali.

The name Uluwatu comes from Ulu meaning ‘land’s end’ and watu meaning ‘rock’. The land was acquired in 2003, and immediately seemed a perfect place to call home for any globe-trotting family. The design of the estate has been inspired by local designs and traditions, using the expert craftsmen of Bali and Java, where part of our family originate.

Chalet Spa Bali is a clifftop estate with 8 substantial villa suites, a large spa villa designed to provide treatments, a large outdoor infinity pool and gardens with tropical ponds, koi carp and waterfalls as well as an aviary with exotic birds and a sleepy iguana known as Rex. The 8 villa suites divide into 4 detached villas and 4 large family suites. All 8 villa suites have traditional high Indonesian style ceilings and have been constructed by local artisans using locally sourced materials such as teak. Complementing this design, the most luxurious furniture and soft furnishings as well as lighting, ornaments and art have been chosen from a range of the World’s leading international brands.

The Spa villa is located at the highest part of the estate, facing due south and comprises 2 massage zones and a bath for Balinese therapies and has sweeping views over the lawns, terraces, and infinity pool to the Indian Ocean beyond.

Indoor Living Space opens on to outdoor terraces with an abundance of features

The entire living space is open plan, offering views over the whole estate. Comfortable seating welcomes guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors whilst under the shelter of the Balinese rooftop. The surrounding gardens are full of wildlife with tropical birds and the occasional monkey passing through the estate. The living space also has a large bar area with seating, alongside a spacious dining area.

Conference & Billiards Room

A large conference and billiards room offers a quiet space for a meeting or for enjoying some time out. This room is massive, in traditional style with a kitchen offset to one end for refreshments. The billiard table has been handmade out of local Java wood and is one of a kind.

Multi Media Room for relaxing

A multimedia lounge has a large LED screen T.V as well as Satellite TV, Apple TV, Netflix, and PlayStation. A collection of traditional board games are also available for children and adults.

The Aviary

Bali has lots of interesting wildlife and our aviary houses a range of tropical birds as well as a friendly iguana called Rex.
